Less than one year and we're back!

So, where have I been since the last really real update?

Well, after Baltimore Green Week, I fell into a freezer and just awoke last week when the unpaid electric bills caused my service to be disconnected and my freezer to turn off…

Actually, my fiancee Ann moved in with me in May and we went on an amazing trip to France.

My super cool environmentally friendly bike I suped up was stolen in early June.

Those Darn Rockets

A very interesting courtesy shuttle driver explains why the weather in Maryland is whacky and why cars aren’t electric.

Thursday morning 8:40AM. At a local tire and battery shop, I dropped off my Super Hot Fiancee (TM)’s car for new tires. I wasn’t feeling well, it was cold, and I needed to get to work so I asked if they had a courtesy shuttle to take me there.

“I need the van up front” the desk attendant said over the PA. I went outside and waited for the van.

To Mac Media--Get Over it!

p class=‘bodyText’>After watching Steve Jobs’ keynote speech at Macworld, many Mac media Web sites decided that they were “underwhelmed” by what they saw. “everything we saw, we’ve seen before, months ago at the first Jaguar preview” one said about the new Mac OS as their less than objective reviews downplayed Apple’s announcements. Apple is continuing to innovate in ways that the tech elite takes for granted.

Wanton emotional memories like “we remember the days when the Mac was a platform, not just the product of a single company” just make no sense in today’s economy. It’s a computer, maybe a lifestyle, but it’s not an Orthodox religion. The changes in Apple’s strategy aren’t personally directed at anyone. They’re just trying to make money while pushing new ideas of computing and laying the groundwork for the future of computer experiences.
