@mikesbadtweets @BaltCitySchools I think something similar happened at Mount Washington. Busses didn’t show on day1 at all and stops were dropped from the routes even though kids didn’t change.

I taught there when I was laid-off from my job in 2001 and it was terrible for me and the curriculum and the promises made were deceptive. They were shut down in 2013.

Hopkins is using a for-profit ed company to subcontract tech education for $11k. No mention on the site (https://engineering.jhu.edu/johns-hopkins-coding-bootcamp/) that it is outsourced to “professionals”.
This is the same crap they pulled targeting vulnerable people in 2001 at the dotcom boom/bust.

@eric_hontz @BDCBaltimore I’ve been pushing this too. It is soooooo feasible and would be a great public infrastructure project. Loop in public Universities, small businesses, and city agencies and I think we’d have something special.
