@buddhaumd @iduncan It’s $72 one way from my neighborhood to the national mall via UberX. Back and forth would be ~150. Four kids in the car would $35 each.

It was just a thought experiment when I saw $100k for buses.

@iduncan Thanks for that. 3000 kids just sounds like a lot. Based on 2016 census data, 15% of Baltimore’s population is 6-18. Let’s split that for 12-18 so it’s ~43k kids. We’re going to send 7% of that group?

Also, 60 buses @ 100k would be ~$1667 per bus.

@iduncan Based on my calc, an Uber would be ~$35 per kid round trip (4 to a car). 100k covets more than 2500 kids going. If we’re taking 2500 kids, that’s ~50 school buses. Are buses $2000 each!? Do we plan on sending more than 2500 kids?
