@EllenEnders No. We’ll, maybe. It depends on location. Some neighborhoods have done this with people like Dorsey while others keep electing Stokes.

@eric_hontz @timmyintransit This is 100% a policy issue that could be addressed in two weeks but instead, they’re looking into “revamping” it.

Mix in elected officials who are either looking up or away and you get today’s Baltimore.
I wish I knew the solution but the reality is only we can fix this with cooperation amount residents and holding our elected leaders accountable or voting them out.

That’s my summary of what’s wrong with Baltimore: Unaccountability. Combine that with a commuter employee base of non-city residents and you get a tragic combination of Apathy and Unaccountability.

Yesterday, there was a funny tweet meme about politicians just running on making city services work better.
I would contribute money to a politician who said “we’re going to fix DPW, DoT, Rec & Parks” or “Let’s use 311 like it was designed and keep city agencies accountable”

99% of my issues with Baltimore are quality of life. Right now, you can’t get a city agency to do much.
Soccer fields? Overgrown because city vendors.
Crosswalks? If they acknowledge call then say won’t have paint for months.
Schools? (Place your BCPS story here)
